I guess this is old, but whatever. I saw this cover on my boyfriend’s coffee table this week, and it made me a little angry. Facebook revolt? Really?

In Pakistan a little less than a month ago, people were in the streets protesting in mass, calling for the restoration of a their Chief Justice, and calling out the injustices performed by their President, the husband of an assassinated Pakistani hero. But here, in the good old USA, we’re revolting against a website. Do these Web 2.0 revolters even know the name of our Chief Justice without looking it up on Wikipedia? I guess we have it good here if this is what we whip ourselves into a frenzy over. There’s nothing else to worry about here, no sir, no way.

And yes, okay, I know the cover is probably using hyperbole for dramatic purposes, but get a grip, New York Magazine.
